Outreach Ambassadors

If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact and eager to learn more about the disability community in San Antonio, we encourage you to apply to become an Outreach Ambassador.  As an Outreach Ambassador for disABILITYsa, you play a crucial role in connecting the community to disABILITYsa. You will represent disABILITYsa at various local resource events, providing information and connection to attendees, and ensuring their inquiries and concerns are addressed or captured with empathy and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff the information table at various community and resource events.
• Provide information related to disABILITYsa’s programs, services, events, and opportunities.
• Engage with event attendees, answering questions and directing them to appropriate resources.
• Set up and break down the information table, ensuring it is presentable and stocked with necessary materials.
• Collect contact information from interested community members for follow-up communications.
• Report on the outcomes of the event in disABILITYsa's tracking system and highlight any impact moments you experienced. 
• Represent disABILITYsa positively, upholding the organization's mission and values.

Training:

• Info Ambassadors will receive orientation and training specific to disABILITYsa’s services, event logistics, and community engagement strategies.

Commitment:

• Flexible, based on event schedule. Typically, events are held on weekends or evenings.
• Pick-up and drop-off supplies before/after opportunities. 
• Take care and pride in disABILITYsa materials and equipment, demonstrating good stewardship of community resources.
