I got home for thanksgiving this week and decided to spend some time the day before thanksgiving giving back. The event involved teaching some tennis drills to kids of all ages and then finishing the day off by handing out turkey, stuffing, and other foods. It felt rewarding to be able to give back to the community. Feeding families without the ability or time to cook a turkey and other traditional foods made it special. It was not a very difficult task, but I could see how much the families appreciated it. Doing these little things by teaching some tennis drills and serving food were not difficult tasks, but it made me feel thankful for all that I am fortunate to have. Overall, I enjoyed this experience and it felt relaxing to finally have some time with my own family as well as these other families to give back during this holiday season.
