About

Mississippi has the second highest prostate cancer rate and death rate in the country according to the National Prostate Cancer Coalition.

Men get prostate cancer more than women get breast cancer. More Mississippi men will get prostate cancer and die of it than the national average. This is due to lack of cancer education, screening and treatment, as well as personal or financial obstacles.

To address these problems, the APCRF works to educate Mississippians about the disease and the preventative measures that can be taken to fight prostate cancer.
